You may not have a problem on a hybrid with melted plastic.
I think the pictures prove that the possibility of melting exists, at least it has on one EcoBoost

Fortunately i am not a DIY guy and Performance Muffler here in Vegas is the absolute best! The owner is Navy Vet and he never overcharges... Very quickly today he made the adjustment so I can put these tips on and I like how you put the extra bracket on and he only charged me 60 bucks!

Looks fantastic! Glad it worked out for you. You even have the same color as me. I like how they left space from the muffler so it doesn’t get melted. I have the hybrid and every time I have checked the exhaust tips they have been cold to the touch.

No he did the fab so he did not have to cut anything.

Yeah, disregard I just looked under mine and I've got that same cut out.
I like the twin exhaust look.

I drove for 3 hours on the highway and the engine ran most of the time and it still wasn’t hot enough to melt the plastic. I did forget to feel it.
