Drowning in Bookmarks

So I'd like to thank all the forum members who have posted their ideas, mods, and accessory lists. I am now going through all the bookmarks, on the forum as well as in Firefox that I've tagged for the last 9 months. My truck should be here in about a week or two, its in AZ. I've already got a few things, Tuxmats, window vents, tailgate lettering, and Seahawk license plate. Also got a Ford hard roll-up tonneau cover. With my build, (see signature) hopefully I won't be wanting too many more. Probably use my points for Ford bug shield.

To the new members, when you see something posted that interests you, bookmark it.

BTW, I already have a Rexing dash cam, cargo net, and a cargo platform that fits into trailer hitch.

For your Rexing, are you concerned with having parking mode? As someone who installs stuff like that for a living I've found that Rexing cannot figure out parking mode whatsoever, so if that's a feature you were wanting I'd recommend looking at something like Thinkware or BlackVue.

I've had the Rexing for a couple of years. I like it powered off when the truck is off.

Then that's all that matters! Rexing's video quality is pretty decent if all you're looking for is just a camera that records when the vehicle is on, so you'll be fine. I always point out the parking mode thing just in case clients want that specific feature.

Thanks, I don't trust that the battery will be drained as I'm retired and the truck sits for days unused. There is other anti-theft features that I guess I'll depend on.

It depends on the parking mode settings you use. The Thinkware I installed in my mom's car as well as my own I have it set to energy saving, which means the camera records at like 6fps and only records in the event of an incident (someone hitting the vehicle), it'll save 10 seconds before the impact and 10 seconds after. You can set it to wake up and record at 30fps if it detects motion, but if you live on a busy street/cul-de-sac, it'll definitely drain your battery. Killed my mom's MDX before I switched it to energy saving.
