Hi all! Pretty new here on MTC. Waiting for my '24 XLT Lux Hybrid. I figure a rollup cover (Truxedo, Tonnopro, etc) is in order. I've owned a couple Truxedos in a past life and was happy enuf. I understand some water may get in, and dust certainly will. Thx to Ford for forcefeeding a dropin liner for us XLT Lux customers. Will this bedliner be a PITA when installing a rollup?? Seeking feedback/constructive guidance regarding your specific tonneau cover. Also wondering if rubberizing the installation clamps would be prudent to protect the paint. My previous Chevys had spray in liners, so there was no concern. Thanks guys & gals!

From what our aftermarket team has seen, you shouldnt have a problem installing a bed cover with the drop in liner. the only part that may cause you some trouble is how thick the drop in liner is and if it causes you from being unable to fit the clamps under the lip of the bed.

You shouldn't have any issues installing a roll up cover. I have a Truxedo Sentry CT with the factory DIBL and no issue.

No problem with my soft roll up and drop in bedliner

(look up in amazon for Kikito Vinyl Soft Roll-Up Tonneau)

I've had two different covers...tri-fold soft and soft rollup. Zero interference with the DIBL.

Thanks for your input. Got my Mav on Valentine's Day. Have successfully installed the Truxport with no issues. Went with it to gain a little added height and width for cargo vs. a low profile design. 😊
