But I hope you're serious, because now I have to go try this out.I found out on my ‘24 a hidden feature…. if I’m standing outside the tailgate and I press the lock button the tailgate locks with the door locks. If I stand “in” the bed and press the lock button it doesn’t lock. Apparently, Ford doesn’t want us to get locked in the bed.

Yes the Maverick drivers side does lock itself. I took me 2024 Lariat to the dealer and whatever they did, the problem is corrected.STOP THE INSANITY!!!
Help! I went out to try this phenomenon and all my doors AND tailgate locked. I guess an electrical/module malfunction is always possible, since it's intended to be unlocked/locked remotely.
Yeah, the dealer showed you how to open the door correctly… without hitting the lock “lever”on the driver’s door as you exit.

Phew, yes it does, thanks, I never would have thought of that. Much like the batteries in the hybrid, my phone was getting low!
