Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to see if anyone has experienced the following, if you were able to fix it and how? Or do I have to call dealer?

2023 XLT BTW: My driver side front window and mirrors all of a sudden stopped working. All was fine yesterday and (poof) today, nothing. All the other windows work including using the driver window controls.

It's just the front driver side and mirrors that don't work. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Also, I think I've checked the fuse marked for that use, but not too sure is I checked the correct one and if I did it was a working fuse.

No idea for sure but maybe: Fuse, Switch(s), or Motor. The mirror makes me think Fuse. Check the manual for fuse locations for a quick check, if it's good, I'd say time for a dealer appointment. Similar issues have been reported in the past: https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/window-motor-and-switch-issue.22506/#post-425753
I would have agreed to the whole motor or switch stuck like others have reported, but I think it's more of a fuse thing due to the mirrors also not working. As a matter of fact the small light that indicated the child lock on the windows won't light up or send the signal to the other windows whether I depress it nor not.

I looked at the fuse map on the owners manual and tried a couple of the ones that I thought should help but nothing...they were all fine. Had to stop trying and work for a few hours but I'll try again in a little while and report back.

In the meantime, does anyone know if it's the fuse box under the passenger dash that one I should be looking at or the one in the engine bay?

If it's the one inside the engine bay, does anyone know how to access the actual fuses? I remove the cover but within that there are two additional covers which I don't know how to open and I don't want to break anything.

Thanks for the help.

Do you have the Luxury Package and CP360? On non-Lux the circuits are directly driven off of the window switch, but with the Luxury Package it's routed through the Driver's Door Module.

No Lux package but yes on the CP360.

And pardon my ignorance...does the directly driven vs. the module make it easier for me to self diagnose?

Probably 100% needs a dealer visit, even if someone has had problems, the chances of it being the same is not that high. Its not like these have history in mass.

Probably a bad connection/switch.

I guess I would start by checking if you have power at the pin 3 yellow w/ orange wire going into the driver's door switch. And verify the ground, too. I wouldn't think it's a fuse issue since it looks like none of the other windows would be working in that case.

It's a new vehicle take it to the dealer and let them worry about it.

That was my plan, but dealer couldn't take me today and I wanted to see if this is something simple that I can just take care of myself. Otherwise, the dealer is exactly what I'm going to do.

Why are you telling a 7 year old to drive?

Shouldn't the advice be, tell your mom or dad to take the car to the dealer and explain what's broken? And to remind your parent that the vehicle is under warranty, and they really shouldn't be asking their 7yo for help on this? ;)

Just to keep you all updated (if you care)…took it to dealership and got it diagnosed. Faulty window switch (which also controls mirrors), new part ordered and will be fixed on Tuesday!!!
