Double horn beep

I sometimes get a double horn beep when exiting my hybrid Lariat/Lux. Does anyone else get this? What is this trying to tell me?

Is the Truck running when you exit the vehicle? Mine does it when I exit the vehicle with the truck running and have the fob in my pocket.

The keys have left the car, but the car is still on/running... I get the same thing.

The car is definitely not running when this happens. I tried leaving the car when it is running and I get a visible warning but no horn beeps. The horn beeps happen when I open the door after shutting down the car.

My only double honks after I get out and close the door while the truck is running and the fobs in my pocket.

Do you have the car locked, with your key in it? I think it will beep/double beep then as well. I will have to go test it later this afternoon.

If you lock the door and one of the doors is not closed all the way it will give you two beeps as well.

Possibly have it in run mode, without engine started?

I have that issue with my push button start in my Jeep, as sometimes I push it too long or something and it cycles back through after shutdown to "run".

I have an XL Ecoboost. I get the 2 beeps pretty often. The vehicle is turned off and when I open the door to get out I get the 2 beeps of the horn. The first few times I thought that I may have not put the truck in park before turning the key off, but that is not the case, I have been very careful.

If you open door and lock when getting out it will double beep

That is not what is happening. I turn the truck off and when I open the door it immediately gives me 2 horn beeps.

Its annoying- Happens all the time to me while I am listening to music with the door open with ACC on- while cleaning the car or whatever-

Same here, infrequent but always has done, does not seem to be reliably repeatable.
