If you have a vinyl wrap installer around where you live. You maybe able to get some clear scrap ppf paint protection film and cut your own?
Remember to prepare the surface otherwise it will not stick. If you've used any spray vinyl protector on the kick panel the PPF will not stick.

One of these days I'll cut a new piece and change it out.
That's exactly what I'm considering. I emailed my local shop!

I'm just trying to picture kicking a car door open with one's foot. I've never even considered doing that because it would scar up the door in a short time.
I knee it.

Which also keeps the hand away from opening handle and that auto-lock mechanism.

I guess I'm clumsy or something. My shoe hits the door at the bottom near the hinge just about every time I get out of the truck.

Now I'll scrape the body side sometimes with feet swinging out - passengers really do for some reason.
My too tall son really does from his preferred chauffeur back seat.

I'm usually not parked next to another car, so door can go wide open.

Have you tried this?
Nope..... completely forgot about this post till now. Been focused on getting the 66 Galaxie ready for car season. However, now that it's brought up again; I'll probably order some clear stuff and give it a try.

Yeah honestly that looks tacky to me and overpriced (again, personal opinions).

I may just go grab some Clear Paint Surface Protection Vinyl Film

It's idealfor interior trim after all!
