All Mavericks have FordPass Connect with the ability to lock, unlock, remote start, view oil life and tire pressures, etc. via your iPhone or Android device, and a built-in 4G LTE modem. That service is currently "free" indefinitely.

Some have an optional AT&T WiFi hotspot that can be enabled for a monthly fee.

2022-23 XLT and Maverick have a built-in keypad on the driver door to unlock with a 5-digit code. XL and 2024 can add one on at the dealer but it's battery powered and glued to the door, not built into the B-pillar and hardwired. That's what I was responding to.

Yesterday I went for dinner, and when I returned to my truck I could not find my keys. It was dark outside and I noticed my keys were on the passenger seat. I have no idea how I locked my keys in my truck.

I decide to call AAA. After 10 minutes on hold, I remembered the Ford App. I pressed the unlock button and within a few seconds the door was open.
I was very happy.

For people not in the anti-app crowd, I'm surprised anyone would choose to forgo using it enough to actually forget about having it! The remote start options are incredibly convenient!
