Interesting. I tried using the OEM jack on my 2025 Lariat Hybrid, rear wheels, and the jack was all the way up, leaning forward and didn't get the tire off the ground.
Very odd I do have a 10”x8” 3/4” piece of plywood back there incase I’m in soft stuff or on hot soft asphalt.

So the jack and lug nut bar are under the rear passenger seat for 2022-2025s? Not sure why, but I've never gone looking for them. I figured I'd consult the manual when the time came.

It's good to know where they are ahead of time. I'll probably look when I get home tonight. It's bad enough getting a flat. The last thing you need is having to go looking for everything (and hoping it's there) when it's dark and you're in the middle of nowhere.
It's not under the rear seat, it's behind the rear seat fold down back rest.

My experience in the dealership world, at least high end vehicles, is if it has an inflator kit then it has no jack. If it can be inflated with fix a flat then you don't need the jack. Also, they assume most people nowadays want someone else to deal with the issue for them, like roadside assistance or AAA. Not ideal for some but let's not forget how lazy Americans have become 🤷‍♂️
You have to be careful using a "fix a flat" spray inflater. The googy foam will clog your tire pressure sending unit, and that will cost you at least $50 to replace.

I don't disagree at all! Puts more money in the dealers/tire shops pocket too. After blowing up my bicycle tire as a kid with fix a flat I haven't touched it since 😆

At some point, it gets very hard to kneel down to change a tire, and takes great effort to get back up. I have no problem getting a tow company to change a tire (other than sometimes it takes hours for them to arrive

That is a valid statement. I know my girlfriend wouldn't be changing her own tire either. She'd probably call me 😅 I'm usually quicker than waiting for the tow company.

That’s absolutely wild.

Ford is absurd.
Not really.
Neither one of my Chevy Volts came with a jack or spare. A $40,000 car in 2014.😲 It was only through the Chevy Volt forums, that I found out a particular Cadillac donut spare would fit. I bought tire, rim and a jack online. I did the same with my smart car.

Where Spare Tires Are Disappearing
Takeaways:

• Automakers such as BMW, Ford, Lexus and Toyota no longer offer spare tires on several models.
• In some models, these spares have been replaced with nothing, while in others, tire inflator kits or run-flat tires have taken the place of spares.
Using Cars.com data, we checked every new 2026 and 2027 model on sale to see which ones don’t offer spare tires anymore. We found 39 brands that don’t offer spare tires on over 200 different models; those models, such as the BMW 2 Series, include their respective trims (such as the 230i) or unique variants (like the 2 Series Gran Coupe).

Some of the places where spare tires are not offered anymore make sense. For instance, a number of electric and hybrid models don’t come with spare tires. In other places, the lack of a spare tire being offered is puzzling. Aside from a number of commercial models like the E-Series, Super Duty and Transit chassis cabs, Ford doesn’t offer a spare tire on models including the Bronco Sport, Maverick, Explorer and Mustang.

Another one of those 39 brands is Mercedes-Benz. A large swath of its models that are sold in the U.S. don’t come with a spare tire. That includes everything from the compact GLB crossover to high-powered AMG models like the E53 and AMG GT Coupe and 4-Door sedan. This isn’t to say that Mercedes is leaving owners out to dry if they find themselves with a flat; many of these models may come with tire inflator kits or run-flat tires.

The best things about OEM tire change equipment is you can say the car has it, and it's compact.
Those things are great, but not so much if you need to use it.
Much better options are available.
A plug kit is often faster than a tire change (for relatively small punctures) and often, just filling the tire can get you to limp home if it's a relatively small leak and you carry an inflator.

If you actually need to swap a tire for a spare, you may find that the OEM lug wrench sucks compared to a breaker bar, a socket and a rachet.

For the Maverick spare, I've only read the "how to remove the spare" and it looks like a PITA.
You would do yourself a favor by reading that rather than trying to figure out a non-intuitive multi-step process...
Still, if you are "out there" I'd rather have one.

Don't forget to keep a LONG breaker bar and 21mm socket in the truck also. Lug nuts are torqued to 146 ft/lbs ... I keep a 24" ratchet in the truck for that
If I weigh 220 would a one foot bar work, Just kidding good advice.
