I've seen a lot of posts regarding deep sleep issues especially with hybrids in cold environments. My XLT hybrid is being shipped currently. Living in the Chicago region I'm not really interested in having a vehicle I have to keep on a battery tender or that will not be able to use all features due to cold weather. Curious if everyone is having these problems in cold climates or if it's the minority. Hoping it's a case where it looks prevalent because people are more likely to post a negative experience than a positive.

I near Buffalo NY. No deep sleep problems with my XLT hybrid (built April 2022).

No but I’ve had an issue with a very rough and loud idle and check engine light with misfires. It’s becoming common with hybrids in cold weather.

Are you pursuing lemon law relief if it applies in your state?

We've had some frosty moments here in Northeast Ohio and so far no problems.

Eastern Washington, 2nd winter with mine. We have had some very cold weather (minus 10F) and I only drive it about once a week, and it sits outside in a carport.

No problems.

I do. It started happening in the fall. Annoying as hell. Dealer reset the BMS as a fix but I don't trust that fix. I've been remote starting it since the dealer visit, (about 5 days) and letting it run for 15 minutes in the morning. So far so good.

I’m around Chicago and I haven’t had any issues with the hybrid. Built in May 2022.

I live in Chicago area. My hybrid has no deep sleep issues but I have a different issue on cold days. I get a message "steering assist fault.". Message on fordpass app says turn off for 10 seconds and restart. That seems to fix it but it is not working as designed and intended. Called local dealer and they have no history on this issue. As of today this has happened about 20 times. This did not happen last winter. My truck was delivered December 27th so it got plenty of cold Chicago weather.

Does everyone in cold climates have deep sleep issues?? I personally do find I can get "deep sleep" easier in a cool room. Cold room, not so much!!!;) I do not know about everyone else.:)

Yes a problem….drove 50 miles on Sunday (had to key start due to Deep Sleep ) just tried now…same issue will not start via remote or Ford Pass….weather has been -15C for the past week or so. I had the vehicle at the dealership for the wiring TSB, they did a “wiggle” test and found no problem. This is BS, Ford electronics are worse than Lucas Electrics in British cars. My ordered hybrid is beyond comprehension to my small dealer service department IMO

I'm in WI. My hybrid has been perfect for almost a year now. It's an early November 2021 build so maybe the line supervisors were looking over shoulders a bit more. At least that's what I tell myself...
