I got my truck in August and I've kept it on a trickle charger throughout the week since I work from home.

When winter set in I got the notification for deep sleep a few times but it would go away when I drove it.

The issue now is it's been in deep sleep the entire week and this whole week I've had to go to the office which is 20 mi away. In addition I put the trickle charger on at night and the truck does not get out of deep sleep.

I feel that the battery I got was from the bad batch and the maximum capacity was lower than it should have.

Has anyone experienced any of these issues specifically like I did? It's a little frustrating but that's what the warranty is for so I'm not too concerned

I would greatly suspect the battery.
Go to Autozone or the like and have them check the charging and battery.

I did a quick check at home and it came back with 12.4V

Hi there! I can look into your Maverick's deep sleep/error message concern on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message over with the name/location of your local Ford dealer and your Maverick's VIN?

I've been monitoring mine for several weeks now with a low-power BlueTooth device, and it's interesting to say the least. Shortly after a drive cycle, you can see the momentary downward spike in voltage and SoC reading when presumably the modem kicks in to send data. If during the spike the battery temporarily drops below one of the thresholds, you guessed it, you get a sleep message.

The sleep messages are pretty much always during that period, unless the truck sits over a weekend undriven or only driven for a short drive, which doesn't replenish the battery for the following transmission. Mine can be at the 80% target for SoC, and it dips just below 50% for a short period, and then rebounds back up. - It the level is only 60-65% (give or take) and something triggers a communications event, it drops to the magic ~25%, and boom deep sleep message.

Once my battery gets a bit worse, and my brother's back at work, I'll bring it up. He won't mickey around, and if the battery has low capacity on the test, will just replace it. - Unless I decide to try shoe-horning in a H5 AGM first, which would be quite a bit more robust battery, that wouldn't notice those momentary loads.

Happened to have my hood open yesterday after doing some checks night before. Went from 12.55 to 12.45 overnight. Opened the doors twice to get something out. 12.45 to 12.3.

More and more I think these batteries are junk. Quickly discharge.

Does not help that even opening the rear door and leaving it open for 2minutes the rear bed light along with keypad entry stay lit (had interior light switched off)

I had my '22 Hybrid in for an oil change yesterday and told them of the deep sleep warnings and no interior lights when I open the doors. They checked the battery and replaced it under warranty.
