Does anyone else get pissed when they don't get 100% regen

I feel like driving is a game now. I hear everyone pull away from the traffic lights and gun the throttle ( I hear them because I have the window cracked so I don't have to run the AC) to get to the next red light. Next light same scenario. I have changed my driving habits now to maximize the mileage and I love the regen brakes. I know you cant do this all the time, but when I can, I do play the game. The Coach really lets you know what is going on. Getting the 100% regen makes me smile at the stoplight as I glide next to the other guy that had to floor it to get to that light.

Gotta save gas! 4.45 here and rising.

My question is does it really put a full charge back in the battery? I get 100 all the time and still have the gas motor come on shortly after pulling out. No ac and no heavy foot either. Most of the time I'm only using 10% power.

I've seen a couple people mention not wanting to run the AC. I've noticed no change in mileage now that it's gotten warmer and I've been running the AC. Still 45 combined is what I'm averaging.

My AC will run when I'm on all electric.

I believe the percentage is how much of the potential energy was recaptured, now how much the battery was charged. If you hit the brakes too hard, it wont capture all of the charge it could have.
At least that is how I understand it.

When you accelerate afterwards the amount of power that can be put out is current limited which is why much more than 9% transfers over to the ICE.

I was actually hoping the Maverick's EV power limit might be closer to what my previous '14 Fusion Hybrid had in the EV+ mode that activated the last 1/4 mile to home/work destinations. It increased the current margin a little bit that'd more easily accelerate 0-30 without being as much of a test of patience.

It really is like a game to get the best mpg as possible for many of us (especially in the beginning when it is new).

Just got my hybrid Mav and I am trying very hard to maximize the braking regen. I had a regular gas vehicle before this and didn't pay any attention to mpg. Had a hybrid before that, and was tried to get the best mpg.

So driving a hybrid certainly does prompt me to drive differently. (But I do make sure never to hold anyone up behind me!)

I believe that if you feel like it's going to show 100% recapture but only shows 0-50% your battery is getting real close to being charged. I would expect the battery could be easily charged to 85+% to 90% but not much over that to leave room for Regen energy to be stored. Most if not all of the saved energy from the braking should be used when you return to speed. I expect the capacitors to charge up fully during braking to help buffer the surging into the battery but the hydraulic brakes will/can be used to accomplish the same results. I expect the capacitors to mainly furnish current if needed by the starter/generator to spin the ice and get it running ASAP!

I have the 2.0 AWD and 4K. I have never purchased a vehicle for MPGs, nor do I drive super conservatively, but I regularly get 30+ MPG on the highway which I think is pretty good given the overall capability of the truck.

Last week I had the box full with about 1500 lbs of split oak and still pulled 22 MPG on country roads.
