Hey folks,

I don't know much about wheels and would really appreciate your advice. I've ordered wheels with the following specs:

Part NumberDiameterWidthBoltPatternOffset (mm)Center Bore (mm)
08301217851083563.4

I'm going to pair these with 245 65/R17 BFGoodrich Trail Terrain T/A. My questions are:
  1. What kind of lug nuts will I need? I want to order a black set to match the wheels but I'm not sure about the depth I need.
  2. Do I need any kind of adapter, ring, or other "accessory" with these wheels? As far as I could find, the only difference is a 2mm difference in the offset. The rest all matches.
Cheers!

Specs for stock wheels are below. The ones you ordered have the right bolt pattern but not sure about the center bore. You might need a ring if it's bigger than stock. The wheels will stick out about half inch further from stock because they are an inch wider.

Size: 17x7" or 18x7"
Width: 7" width
Offset: +37.5 mm
Bolt Pattern: 5x108
Center Bore: 63.4
Thread Size: M14 x 1.5 lug nuts

Perfect, that should work nicely then! The bore size should be the same. I checked the Body Builder Guide for the spec and it seemed to match. Fingers cross. Thanks!

There is also a 2.5MM offset difference which is negligible ( 1/10" for us U.S. standard folks).

For lug nuts, the wheel you chose will dictate the type. They are likely 60* conical like most Ford stock wheels.

good luck

.

From the part # you provided, I assume these are the wheels? Just for curiousity, I would ask if the lug nut holes are sized for 12mm or 14mm (Maverick) studs.

Yup, that's the one. I'll ask about the lug sizes!

The response was that the holes are 34mm? I'm not sure what that means.

That's probably the diameter of the logo/center cap. They did not understand the question.

They're supposed to arrive today. Anything I can do from home to figure out what bolt size/legth I need once they're here?

[Edit] I appreciate the hand-holding. I've never really delved into aftermarket wheels before so it's a learning curve.

Since there's no way to tell what the thickness of the wheel is in the area of the studs, I'll ask you to take a lead from one of our members @Lynyrd Skynyrd and see how many turns you get with the OEM lugnuts, then we can help steer you towards a black version.

I would also check that the lug holes are large enough to fit a 13/16" or 21mm socket. Given how those have semi-recessed openings sometimes they assume M12.5 lug nuts and so only accommodate 19mm. It is possible to get 19mm drive M14 lug nuts, but sometimes they only fit even smaller than that!

I have bought two sets of wheels from Tire Rack and they supplied the correct lug nuts. Did your supplier provide this option?

No, that certainly would have been nice.

What they did do is send me the wrong wheels, though. I'm super impressed with that.
