hey guys i converted my XL's manual tailgate lock to power lock for about $15 !!!
i made a video of it.

this mod works with the key fob, door buttons, keypad AND the fordpass app !!

Yup did this in 2012 to my xlt f150. I believe they're called Pop n locks.

Never mind. Just realized it's controlled by the wiring in the truck.

I did that to mine and my buddies. I have a tonneau cover, so it was a must have for me. My wife was always waiting for me to unlock the tailgate to get stuff out of the back. Thanks for posting the video!

Just installed mine but had to grind some of the clam away to fit on the lever at the lock. Maybe mine was wider than others? Used a dremmel and a grinding wheel to remove what I needed. Easy to do. Works great! Thanks for the video and links!
