Great application of thinking outside the box. I like your color choice but now that you have planted the seed I going to give some thought to other colors that might work with my Lariet interior.

I do want to warn everyone….clean the areas really well before sticking. The first section I did I don’t clean it and it started to peel the next day. The areas I cleaned really well worked out much better. They had a minimal peeling and I was able to rub them down

I don't know if this was worth the time you put into the project, but man you did a really nice job fitting the fabrick. It should protect what you covered and it looks fantastic..

Thanks. All in it only took a little over an hour. Most of the time was spent making templates out of butcher paper….. the areas where the seat belts hit are tricky as they angle up toward the back with a small flat so I had to redo the template a couple of times.

I used a very small amount of 70% rubbing alcohol. Time will tell if it all stays attached but after a couple of days it still appears okay

After I did all this I found some precut protectors for the doors on Amazon. While I was at it, I tried to find something for where the seat belts scratch and I couldn’t locate anything. That said, I did find some silicone covers that go over the seatbelt for $5 that will probably prevent the scratches.

FWIW....Adhesion is definitely a challenge with the low energy plastics Ford used. When I did the vinyl wrap on my dash, I used 3M adhesion promoter to help. It made the surface tacky and I haven't had any issues a year later with the vinyl coming up on the dash.

Very good advice. The plastic is a challenge. If mine comes off I will likely take your advice. Thanks!

I'd love to hear an update after the fabric has been through a summer. I'd love to cover a few of the most scratch prone spots, but I fear the adhesive would just melt and give out in the Texas heat.

Not perfect but should help with some of the trouble spots. Cheap self adhesive fabric on amazon.
...
you have an amazon link? that looks like a really good match for the factory stuff...
