Thanks for the Add In! I live in So Cal and am wondering what kind of discount off sticker buyers are getting on XL or XLTs under $30k.

If you are willing to purchase outside of California, you can get 3% below dealers invoice through Grangers Ford in Iowa.

Once the 24 xl and xlts are released for sale I expect decent incentives from Ford. Maybe in March? Can’t get AWD hybrid with 4k towing in 24 though so the 25s might be a better fit, and you can buy a 25 now

I'm not sure how much of a break you'll get. When I was doing my research/shopping I was mostly looking for used, but I did also talk w/ dealers about new. Two showed me numbers that were, supposedly, "Dealer Invoice," and if real, they showed the markup isn't huge and there isn't much they can slash off unless Ford gives them special incentives.

no slashing here but i responded to one of those comparison sites and after a brief chat w sales where I said I already had a quote at list and was only considering options for below list- they responded w a $600 discount on a 25' lariat- not a fortune but my dealer I had already placed order w matched it and I was happy w that.- thats only like 1.5% off list so if you can get that 3% off dealer cost mentioned by someone thats obviously much better.

They get more money back from ford after sales. The biggest is "dealer holdback", but there are others (I think one is advertising coop).

So a dealer is not "not making anything" selling at invoice. Some, like Granger, turn this to an art.

And don't forget the Screw You fee, err, I mean doc fee.

I assumed I was going to be buying from Granger (Road trip!). But I took their sheet into a local dealer, went up to the counter, and announced, "I'm ordering this truck today. If you can match this, I'll order it here."

To my surprise, they matched it! They actually reduced price further to cover the difference in doc fee (I think we're one of the states where it's illegal to charge different doc fees to different customers.
