Diode Dynamics Cargo / 3rd Brake Light LED Upgrade

I already don’t “need” this upgrade but will probably end up doing it anyways.

However, the $40 for the two cargo lights is fine, but another $45 for the single XPR brake light is hard to justify. Does anyone know how the $10 HP5 LED on their site compares to the stock incandescent and XPR?

The HP5s still represent a good upgrade in my opinion. Though output is no where near what the XPR is, it still exceeds stock. I like the instant "on/off" that LEDs give over the incandescent "fade" give. Also you are replacing a warm white bulb with a red bulb, giving true red output which looks very nice!

Companies like diode actually test lumens…Cheap led companies like Alla make it up to be honest

It just occurred to me…are either of these light upgrades necessary with a Lariat? I looked at my window sticker and saw it said “LED CTR HIGH MNT STOP LAMP”

Definitely isn't LED on my Lariat...

Any labels like "American made", "Manufactured in America", "Assembled in America" has no legal bindings. The only legal phase is "Made in America". Case being from Diode Dynamics own website for the 921 bring sold by OP in the Q&A section; "The XPR bulb is designed in house by our engineers and St. Louis, and manufactured by an overseas supplier.
