Diode Dynamics Hitchmount LED Brake/Reverse Light

Just wanted to post that the Diode Dynamics Hitchmount LED Brake/Reverse light for the 2021 F150 also is plug and play for the Maverick. Only thing I don't like is it sticks out past the hitch but im going to fix that shortly. Yes, it's pricey but it's a nice piece.

How to disconnect the plug; you slide the Grey piece back then you can press down on it.

I'm not sure as mine has the 7 pin; can you check the back side of your connector under the bumper? It's about a 1.125" diameter plug. Just poke you phone under there and take a picture to save your body. I'd be surprised if the 4 pin and 7 pin would share the same plug on the backside. Ford can save pennies per vehicle buy using a cheaper connector, although retooling/rewire costs hmm...

I was looking in the Diode Dynamic hitch mount light, but the dealer where I was going to buy the light suggested that the Backup Camera would be white washed with the light directly under it.

That's why I went with two 1" Ridge Cube lights and wired them to the reverse tail lights.

Looks good; I do not have an issue with it washing out. I will post some pictures of it at night, with reverse and the backup screen. I also have a putco led bar, still no wash out even with that.
