Different ohm dash tweeters

Since the stock dash tweeters are 8 ohm and aftermarket ones are 4 ohm do i need some kind of adapter inline with the speakers? Like something to adapter the 4ohm speakers so they won't be working as hard and be shrill?

No issues using 4 ohm tweeters in the stock location, I used Hertz component speakers 6 3/4 door speaker and the hertz tweeters in the dash. No issues with the hu overheating or shutting down, I've had them installed about 10 months and it's my daily driver.

The sound is now 3x cleaner over oem. I also upgraded the rear pillar speaker and added a 10 sub under the rear seat.

Damn that bass knob looks like it came from the factory. Did you get coaxial or component speakers in the front doors?

I used JL Audio C1-075ct as they are 6 ohms. In addition, they'll drop in and snap into the original spots, but the fit is a bit loose so a little padding to prevent them from rattling.

I used those in combination with Kicker 51KSC6704. Ordered from Crutchfields so it came with the right adapters and am really happy with the results overall. Much much better than stock and all for only about $185.

Yes, I used those in the doors. And these in the dash since they're 6 ohms, so closer to factory.

I was just going to start with the door and rear speakers and put all Kicker CS speakers in it since I had them in my other truck and liked them. Im leary about messing with the dash tweeters yet but if I go that far I'll just use Kicker tweeters also.

What speaker baffles did you use/how was fitnent? Also did you use the metra adapters to fit them to the door?

I purchased the foam speaker rings from crutchfield I don't remember the brand, and yes I got the metra adapters from crutchfield as well for free included when I bought the door component speaker set. They also include the metra no splice speaker connections for the dash tweeters door speakers and rear pillar speakers.
