How many people have ordered a new Maverick and dealer required a deposit or did not require one?
Dealer required a deposit, had the papers showing what I ordered etc., & I put down a $1,000 deposit. Seems standard procedure.

Once again Ford doesn't require a deposit to order a new Maverick this is addressed on Ford's training guide sent out to all dealers to educate their sales staff.

No deposit, as I have ordered other vehicles and know them really well. Received great service and price. They submitted 150+ orders, and received allocation for 105. Not in a rush, so Iā€™ll be waiting. I guess 7-9 months. Who knows?

My local dealer wanted $1000. to order my Hybrid. Their allocation was 1 a month. I was Ok with it as it made me feel they were not going to pull a fast one and sell the thing out from under me for a big markup when it was delivered.

$500...hate the idea of the dealer holding my money and possibly making gains off of it while I wait for my truck without passing those gains on to me, but it's "totally refundable" according to them, and I didn't really feel like traveling far to buy a vehicle and possibly paying out more in expenses to do so, or being locked into that dealer's financing...

No deposit, fifth overall customer ordered on the 16th.

I donā€™t like having a dealer holding on to and making gains with my hard earned $500 or $1k for a vehicle that may or may not arrive as mentioned with all the talk of dealers getting a small allotment of Mavericks per year. If I donā€™t get a Maverick built and delivered this year, at least I put down nothing.
