FWD (Hybrid) because I wanted my cake and wanted to eat it too. In other words, I wanted a pickup and good gas mileage at the same time.

I'll be using my Mav as a do-everything vehicle and FWD Hybrid does not check all the boxes for me. Despite a popular assumption, we don't all live in a California-type climate and have the option to work from home.

It's funny to see the "its all about saving money" people argue against AWD Ecoboost on a forum about a brand new vehicle. If you wanna save money I'll sell you my 2006 Corolla with 225k miles for $3k.. thats ~$22k less than the XLT! Gets better highway mileage than the hybrid too!!!

FWD hybrid. I wanted the gas savings and with the exception of my current Cherokee, I've only driven 2WD vehicles through 20 winters in Michigan. The fuel savings was my primary motivation. If I could navigate a Mustang and a Fiesta through even harsh winters, I think I'll do fine in a truck with even more clearance.

FWD because the $15K in additional ownership costs for the AWD is much higher than any marginal value I'd get out of it.

AWD. Towing and I live in a part of the country that gets blizzards.

AWD to support my kayaking hobby. Some of the classed water put-ins and take-outs can be a little dicey.

I'm probably in the minority here, but I went AWD not just for the winter weather. I have had FWD before and hate it when you try and put power down and it just squeals the tires even on dry pavement. I've had AWD in most of my cars except my fun RWD toys. I expect my daily driver to put the power down when I want it and that requires AWD to do it reliably. There is also a good chance I'll get a tune for the truck and basically 300ftlb of torque will not be easy to put down without AWD in any condition. I'd bet the AWD ecoboost gets to 60 a fair bit faster than the FWD version since it won't be fighting traction control or wheel hop for the first 10-20mph.

FWD. I pretty much belong to the demographic this truck was intended for other than age 😃. I live in town and this will be my daily commuter. Don't haul much but do want the capability. I live in Colorado but have driven a prius c for the last nine years and managed to get it stuck exactly once (for about 5 minutes) so FWD is more than sufficient. This is the vehicle I would have bought nine years ago if such a thing existed.
