Found this on the floor at on the passenger side. Trying to determine if it is something that fell off the Maverick or something else.
Google’s guess is that is is a Posi-Tap connector

Google lens is great for stuff like this.👍
I love using my phone as a price scanner at the store. I just can't weigh the produce with it.

since it definitely is a posi-tap connector and there is a fuse panel in the passenger floorboard, I would suggest pulling out any floormat and then pulling gently on the fuse panel cover that will be plainly seen.

look for add-on fuses or any wiring that doesn't appear to be stock. take pics and post here if you have questions.

of course, if you had a shop install anything that you know involved the fuse panel you can skip that investigation. (y) remote power wire for an amp, hardwire kit for radar detector or dashcam, etc.

When I added the diode dynamics fog lamp
kit, I used these to tap into the marker lamps and the headlight feed. If yours has the added aftermarket fog lamps, then you may check those connections.

Make sure to message us back when you figure it out. I’m dying to know what it came from.

Don't let these seemingly helpful answers fool you; they're pulling the wool over your eyes.

That's the connector for the flux capacitor.

I wasn't sure what a posi-tap was and I just watched a youtube video explaining its usage. Seems like someone added a non-standard item to your truck. This could be anything that wasn't factory.

Also check behind the OBD connector under the dash on the driver's side. Dealers (including those in DFW) are known to put trackers on vehicles before customer delivery, and they seem to love tapping power off that OBD wiring. I bought my truck used in Grand Prairie, but you can see several people's experiences here:
