Did anybody else get a recall for airbags today?

It'll likely be 2023 before they even start getting parts.Mine arrived in the mail, but I'm A couple thousand mikes from first oil change so it can wait till then.
Kids these days will never even know the joys of riding in the back of a rickety truck going 60mph down the highway in 20 degree weather. You ain’t lived until you were in a coma after a 20mph collision.Back in my day we didn't have any fancy-schmancy airbags and we liked it! We just had a lap belt. Your face was the airbag as it hit the wheel. Darn spoiled kids today.
Did you actually wear a lap belt? My family did not and a child safety seat had two bars that hung over the front seat without a buckle.Back in my day we didn't have any fancy-schmancy airbags and we liked it! We just had a lap belt. Oh MST3K you are so young. My first car was a 1965 Ford Fairlane that I purchased right after I received my license in July 1976. Had to get to work and high school.Yeah, first car was a used '72 Pontiac LeMans station wagon. It did have shoulder belts tucked up above the windows, but there was some weird attachment method you had to make to connect it to the the lap belt that I never bothered to figure out. I could be wrong about this, but when I started driving in '83 I'm not even sure there was a seat belt law in PA yet.
With me being retired United States Navy, I know what a small aircraft carrier is like. The LPH I was on only had a 628 foot flight deck.I grew up in the 50’s, no seat belts on any cars. The best defense was a good offense, my family drove a Buick Electra 225 which was like a small aircraft carrier.
