Order my truck in September and have talked to the dealer several times. I pre-ordered which was supposed to get me ahead in the waiting game. All the dealer will tell me is that I am in the “top half” of the orders for that dealership. I’m interested in knowing what my place in line is? I know a lot of folks have been waiting a lot longer than me but no info is driving me bonkers!

There is no queue, anyone that tells you otherwise is lying to you. If you ask Ford, they will tell you to talk to your dealership and your dealer will tell you they have no idea what is going on with Ford scheduling.

I've been waiting over 450 days and am not yet even scheduled and other people have been waiting longer than me. On the flip side, there are folks here that just placed their order in September 2022, identical to mine including the paint color, that already have their trucks.

Ford doesn't care . . . there is no waiting list . . . prepare yourself for disappointment.

No chance that you can determine where you are in the queue - and no way your dealer can know where you are either. Way too many factors involved, and it appears to be a random process. You appear to have a hybrid on order - in case you haven't been through the threads on this forum, there is only a 50/50 chance you're going to get a Maverick at all having ordered in September. Not going to get much sympathy from this forum either, as many of us have been waiting for 14+ months or more for our trucks. Best advice is to sit back and practice your patience skills.

What others above have stated sums it up. You've ordered the version with a 35% portion of the total production to be built by Fords current plan. Untold numbers - a large portion hybrid - never got built in MY22 were moved to MY23 which Ford was suppose to put ahead in production. However, there have been some lucky MY23 orders delivered before MY22 rollovers (real lucky folks). You could get lucky also, but no one knows, it's all a dealer allocation, crystal ball, roll of the dice for what Ford builds. Only suggestion I have for ya is prepare to hibernate, it could be a while, many have waited over a year. Keep your expectations Low but maybe Ford will exceed expectations. Good Luck !! I hope Everyone gets theirs soon.

There really is no rhyme or reason behind any of it. They should never have taken orders for vehicles they could not build. Not a great way to build brand loyalty. A guy ordered his from the dealership I used two days before I did and he already has his.

Yes Sir, you are correct. Imagine how those waiting a year and longer feel about it. It took 10 months for my Eco boost to arrive and I felt LUCKY. I don't put all the blame on just ford for the MY23 situation, IMO the dealers, maybe not all of them, had some knowledge of the production breakdown, but they keep entering Hybrid orders anyway, probably knowing a large portion wouldn't get built. Pretty sure Ford told them in advance there would not be any MY23 to MY24 rollovers as in MY22, it will all start over from scratch for MY24. I could be wrong on that but that's what I seem to recall. I truly hope it all works out for everyone, it's an Awesome little truck, Love mine.

It's friggin terrible but this is true. Okay, there are probably a lot of factors I don't know about and the entire country is in straits at this time so there's reasons but the part where you're just floating around ignorant of any details will make you nuts. I got scheduled and rescheduled 5 times and then converted to a '23. I'd stop in and sit down with my Ford salesman for over a YEAR (I'm up to 15 months) and didn't sort it out but it helped and now I have him nicely trained. When I stop in he's got paperwork for me ahead of time and he emails me with any news. You're just gonna have to get in your Zen mode.

Bro there is no line or getting ahead of the waiting game. Who ever told you that was just trying to appease you. I'm guesing it was your dealer who told you all this. The same dealer who keeps telling you that you are in the "top half" whatever the hell that means.

Bottom line is this bro......you might have a long wait ahead of you or you might not. Nobody knows and that is the beauty of Fords allocation and scheduling system.
