Very impressive. Would love to see them do a comparison between the old 2.0 (22-24) vs a '25 MPC 2.0. Also would be interesting to run a lobo with the 7 speed against a non-lobo '25 2.0.Car & Driver instrumented test of the 2025 Maverick hybrid
First time I've seen acceleration test on an AWD hybrid and I'm surprised at the numbers. 0-60 in 6.7 seconds, 1/4 mile in 15.3 at 90 MPH. It seems quick, but the electric torque assist and stepless eCVT makes it tough to gauge performance by the seat of the pants vs other cars.
Ford says a lot of Maverick buyers are converting from compact cars and SUVs like Civics, Rav4s, etc. Comparing the numbers to a Civic Si with the 6 speed stick shift, the 900 pound heavier Maverick is just a hair slower (0.1s to 60, 0.4s in the quarter mile), and it gets better fuel economy.
Compared to the 2024 Rav4, the Maverick is lots cheaper, way faster 0-60 and in the quarter mile, and gets much better fuel economy.
X2 those would be good comparison tests.Very impressive. Would love to see them do a comparison between the old 2.0 (22-24) vs a '25 MPC 2.0. Also would be interesting to run a lobo with the 7 speed against a non-lobo '25 2.0.
Motor Week tested the 2025 AWD Hybrid a few weeks ago and ran the same times. The 2022 AWD Lariat 2.0 EB Maverick they tested when the Maverick came out ran 6.2 0-60 and 14.8@93 mph in the 1/4 mile.Car & Driver instrumented test of the 2025 Maverick hybrid

Do you realize how much your MPG will plummet and your miles to empty will be compromised if you do a 6.7sec zero to sixty? Lordy.First time I've seen acceleration test on an AWD hybrid and I'm surprised at the numbers. 0-60 in 6.7 seconds, 1/4 mile in 15.3 at 90 MPH.
I’m just going to have to retest drive another hybrid. Last time I test drove one it felt a little anemic compared to to the Ecoboost I did buy.The hybrid is quick and fun to drive! 0-60 in 6.7 is like V-8 90s sports cars and faster than most mid and full size trucks.
A Lobo test I read gave the Lobo 5.8 seconds verse 5.9 on regular 2.0.Very impressive. Would love to see them do a comparison between the old 2.0 (22-24) vs a '25 MPC 2.0. Also would be interesting to run a lobo with the 7 speed against a non-lobo '25 2.0.
7 gears lower ratios right !A Lobo test I read gave the Lobo 5.8 seconds verse 5.9 on regular 2.0.
you're right. You can embarrass a Ferrari 308, as long as it's not a GTSi.The hybrid is quick and fun to drive! 0-60 in 6.7 is like V-8 90s sports cars and faster than most mid and full size trucks.
If you take the time to read the article, the answer is right thereWhat changed so much ?
Wasn't the original hybrid around seven and a half seconds 0-60 ?
First year Countach, plain jane 944 ... surprising what cars which were once GT going on supercar class it matches or edges on those number.you're right. You can embarrass a Ferrari 308, as long as it's not a GTSi.
Isn't Lobo lower to the ground?7 gears lower ratios right !
