My Hybrid does the same thing. Every ~2 weeks it begins the deep sleep messaging and interior lights are disabled when entering the truck, then a week later I grow tired of the routine and put the charger on it. I literally just put the charger on it 5 minutes ago, voltage was down to 11.8 vdc and the charger showed 41% capacity. I’m sure it will be fully charged in the morning and I’ll get to do this again in ~3 weeks. It has never failed to start (probably because I catch it before it gets too low). I was going to just buy a new battery and replace it but it appears that does not fix the issue..

Hi there! This doesn't sound like the kind of experience we want you to have with your Maverick. If you are able to send us a private message with your VIN and dealership info, I'd be happy to look into things on my end.

We have had the Deep Sleep problems others have seen for some time now. It would send me the notice on the Ford Pass app within 1-2 minutes each time we turned the truck off, and of course I was having to use my battery charger often to get it started. The first time we took it in to the local dealer they said they found a bad cell in the battery and replaced it, but nothing changed. This time we left it with them for almost three weeks while we were out of town. They were talking to Ford engineers regularly since they kept me updated by texts. When we went to pick it up today they said they were told to replace the battery under the back seat once again, so I was expecting the same old, same old issues. Lo and behold when we opened the truck door the interior lights came on (they were never coming on in the past) and it started up fine. Drove it to a couple of stores that we shut the truck off at, and never received a Deep Sleep mode message. And I noticed when it was parked in the garage that the truck was not making all the weird noises it was previously when it was turned off, like it was constantly communicating with something.

Bottom line - if this fixed the problems permanently for us, and you are running into the same issues as we did after the dealer replaced your underseat battery, I suspect that they/Ford had a bad batch of batteries that they went through, and we now have a "good" one. Best wishes to all our fellow Maverick owners, and a very Merry Christmas!

I've been getting deep sleep alerts constantly for the last couple months now that the weather has cooled off.

No issues with it failing to start. It's annoying though, so I'll have the dealership take a look at it eventually under warranty. I'm thinking possibly a bad battery exacerbated by cold weather.

My xlt hybrid received in March has been going into deep sleep alot. Same symptoms as OP. Took into dealer on 11/22/22 with a printout of all the instances it's gone into deep sleep. They couldn't find anything wrong on day one, but found the 12 volt battery was defective on day two. They replaced the battery. Lasted until 11/29 - less than a week. It's been in deep sleep since 12/12. Very frustrating to have to carry a flashlight to get into a new truck.
On the upside, it does start each time, haven't had to jump it. What is weird is, alot of times, I'll turn it on and drive away in electric without the ICE starting for a good amount of time.
Dear Ford, please find a fix.
The hybrid drive system uses the high voltage battery, which is a completely separate system from the normal 12v system that runs accessories and all the other electronics. Pretty sure deep sleep is an issue with the 12v system/battery, which is probably why your electric driving doesn't seem affected

I’d love to have my lights come on inside the truck!!
Thanks for this!

Mine did this this morning on my Ecoboost. I have no idea why and it started right up and has been fine since so who knows.

I took a multimeter to my 12v tonight after it told me it was in deep sleep mode. 12.1 volts or so, which is apparently pretty low

Well this is interesting, my Hybrid’s battery was at 11.8vdc at the pins 1 hour and 25 minutes ago. It generally takes overnight to fully charge with my high quality Schumacher charger. 47 minutes ago I turned off the trucks Connectivity and at that time it was up to 12.0 Vdc. I just went out, fully charged and sitting at 13.25 vdc.

I’ve done this several times from ~11.8v and it generally takes overnight to fully charge.

From 11.8 to 12.0 took 38 minutes
Turn off Connectivity
From 12.0 to 13.25v in 47 minutes (perhaps less, that’s when I walked out into the garage to check)

Interesting...

.
Well, 48 hours later here’s where I am. I have not touched the truck in exactly 2 days, Connectivity off, parked in climate controlled garage. 2 days ago the voltage was 13.25vdc, tonight, 11.89vdc.

The battery is either bad or something is draining it.

I plan on driving it for 30 minutes tomorrow..

Mine dropped from 12.1 last night before I went to bed, to about 11.9 this morning before I started it and left for work.

Deep Sleep update.
Took my XLT Hybrid to dealer for the slamming brakes issue AND deep sleep on 12/21/22. (Dealer replaced the 12v battery in November, but deep sleep came back in 5 days)
This go around they kept the truck until 12/30.
Dealer performed TSB 22-2493 for brakes and says they "performed TCU update and charged the battery" for the deep sleep issue.
Brakes felt very different (more solid feeling), but still does the low speed slam occasionally, though not as hard.
As for deep sleep, the update appears to have worked. No loss of interior lights or FordPass notices since I got it back. (3 weeks).
Ford Customer Service became involved and assigned a case number prior to my taking it to dealer. They have been awesome and even had the dealer provide me a loaner while it was in the shop.
Hopefully I'll have no further issues.
