Deep sleep issues

So I keep getting the deep sleep issue. Battery soc on Thursday was 43% per oasis. Brought it back to the dealer today so they can put it on the rotunda to do a warranty test and it seems to pass. Sox today was 48. I am tired of not being able to use parking mode for my dash cam. I have it on its highest setting so it won’t deep sleep. I have had issues lately where I did about 40 mins of driving park car for 15 mins walk back and cam is off cause voltage is to low. I need to get a agm but can’t seem to find the exact one I need. 24 hybrid xlt.

oh and they say I shouldn’t pay attention to forums.

So far the H4 AGM batterys on amazon are a direct fit. Most people here seem to to choose the UPLUS brand I chose the MARXON but I believe its the same company. https://www.amazon.com/MARXON-Maintenance-Automotive-Replacement-Batteries/dp/B0CRHBQ7HY

that is the one I bought and it fit my truck just fine. Also don't forget to do the BMS reset procedure so it learns the full charge level after installing the new battery.

All I did was put the key to the on position but don't start the truck. flash highbeems 5 times in a row then press the brake pedal 3 times and you should see the battery light on the dash flash. I believe it flashed 3 times on mine. I did take me a couple of trys. Last thing was my new battery was 12.5 12.6 volts out of the box which is low for an AGM, I let it charge overnight 2 amps on a charger with the AGM setting and had 12.9 13 volts even after letting it rest 8 hours off charger.

Thanks for the info. While at ford I did ask about the agm and it was 200. (I use to work there so may be able to try and get employee pricing. lol) so it looks like it’s a 140r group. Or h4 like you said.

Thanks for the info. While at ford I did ask about the agm and it was 200. (I use to work there so may be able to try and get employee pricing. lol) so it looks like it’s a 140r group. Or h4 like you said.
According to Ford, unless they are blowing smoke, a fix for deep sleep is supposed to be announced by them before the end of March.

According to Ford, in less they are blowing smoke, a fix for deep sleep is supposed to be announced by them before the end of March.
Have a feeling they are blowing smoke. I’m also about to switch dealers.

Not a good idea to use an AGM without reprogramming charging parameters. It needs a higher charge rate. The life can be shortened. Ford won't replace your battery until it is below 40% capacity at 100% charge. They finally replaced mine after having to use a jump pack at 8 months because it was so low. Replaced the 390 CCA with a higher 470 CCA. After 2 months no issue yet, but checking voltage and it is being drawn down.

I do have forscan. I’m just waiting to see. When they did the test on the rotunda it only lasted like 8 mins and passed. But my dash cane shuts off as soon as I turn off the car practically.

At one point I had to open the door with a key because remote wouldn't work. Look, this issue is brought up once a week and there are many who have there own ideas how to fix or at most hide the problem. Good luck.

Ford does make AGM battery and mine was replaced for free....

They are not replacing mine at this point. This dealer is 110% by the book. Won’t do anything to help a customer. When I had my escape that had metal shavings in the cylinder head from the line they followed the tsb and eventually ordered the new head. A month and a half later the head came in, but they decided oh we’re going to redo the flush because we don’t think the other guy did it properly and did not tell me they were gonna do it that way until after I came back to pick it up Drove it 2 miles to bring it right on back because the same error code popped back up then they decided to replace the head. And then a few weeks later, the alternator went bad.

My dealership and if you look into AGM stats, say not to use them without higher charging parameters or it may shortened the life. I'm wondering if the dealerships or Ford are experimenting to research a fix
First time I've heard of them using an AGM as a replacement. Has anyone else had this done?

Mine was done last October.... had about 60 sleep mode before that....none after AGM replaced but I do constantly monitor voltage readings...good luck...
