just got it on amazon for the $28 dollar price. after using my points and free shipping, cost me a $1.83. installed it in about 20 minutes, 15 of that scouting out the torx bit and allen bit!
absolutely must have for the tail gate. so nice that it doesn't want to slam down when opening.

Thanks for this link, I really needed something to tie down with now that the DeeZee damper is installed. I have little ones around and that gate drops right at face level.

Dang these look awesome! I just installed yesterday, wishing I would have painted them. What did you spray them with?

Speaking of install - getting the lower plate on the tail was a little tricky. I found that using an interior trim wedge to keep tension while screwing it in was really helpful. You can slowly pull the wedge up after each turn until it is finally set.
