I have the CarlinKit from Amazon to wirelessly use CarPlay and other than a half second lag, it’s pretty rock solid. Several 1hr+ drives with it without issue. The only hiccup occurs when my wife and I are in the vehicle and it’s trying to decide if it should connect to my phone or the wife’s since she’s connected to it before.

I have a 22 Maverick XLT LUX Hybrid. The Bluetooth has been very much of an annoyance. I like to stream SiriusXM while I am in the car. The Bluetooth connects, and within about 2 blocks from my house it will pause. I have to push the play button on the sync2.5 lite screen to get it going. The next trick it will do is it will lose the connection with my phone and then reconnect. This process is varied, sometimes it will be quick and other times it may not connect at all. On the longer times it will default to the AM/FM radio and I will have to wait until it finally connects.
I am sure I am not the only one having this issue. I finally got the OTA update (after many tries over a couple of months) to ver.G2.001_r22285A. This update did not appear to fix anything. I still have the same disconnect-reconnect issue.
Is there an update in the pipeline?

I have an iPhone14 with the latest software updates on it.

Please help!
My ‘18 Hyundai Kona does this, I think it is a ton of things..interference, iOS (apple), Infotainment, and it did it before I put in a cord free dongle and after.. I use CarPlay and rarely used Bluetooth (with no problems) As soon as I get my Maverick (if it ever comes) I will let you know….

Are people losing Bluetooth in the middle of phone calls too? I should have my xlt Hybrid in another week or two.Wondering how bad is it? I will plug in for other things like google maps . Although being able to get text messages while Bluetooth connected would be nice too.
I've never had a call drop due to loss of connectivity. If I play a podcast or music though, you can bet it'll drop at least once. I've had it drop a mile from my house, halfway through a trip, pulling into a spot at the beach, pretty much everywhere.

Never have an issue when it's connected via cable, but BT trips it up every time.

I have a braided apple cable
Use it, or a wireless carplay dongle.

Several replies ago you said Bluetooth... If plugging in solves it that's helpful to know.

Getting the same issue, 2023 XLT and I would be miles from my house already and bluetooth would randomly disconnect. Sometimes as mentioned, it can reconnect effortlessly, but other times I find myself pulling over, turning off the truck and turning it back on to kinda "hard reset" it and it works again.

Is the Bluetooth better w/ Lariat as it's a true Sync3 solution?
I have a 2023 Lariat with Sync3 and I use Bluetooth all the time and Apple CarPlay for GPS. But recently began to use the onboard GPS on the Sync3 with no problems. I have not had any issues with drop calls, lag in music nor any hiccups with streaming. I also, have my Sync3 connected to wifi when at home. As for departing away from my home (while the vehicle is connected to WiFi) there has been no lag or any pauses with the music. The only thing that I have noticed (for many years of using SiriusXM) is that, if the vehicle is in a garage, under any kind of coverage over the vehicle, the signal from the satellite is disturbed. Until the vehicle is free from obstruction, then the music will resume. As for Bluetooth, I have not had any connectivity issues with either 3 phones saved to my Sync3. I Did make a very minor mod to my Mav by switching out the long antenna to a much smaller one that was a gift from my nephew. Also a tempered screen protector on my radio screen. Been running for a new days now, again, no issues with SiriusXM, HD radio or any other frequencies.
Now maybe in 2023, these issues that everyone have been experiencing have been fixed or maybe I have been using my system differently. I only have 3 phone saved to my Sync3 (all iPhones). Work, personal and wife’s phone. My personal is the only one that is saved as “favorite”. I only use ORIGINAL Apple branded cables. So maybe there’s something here.
I’m really staring to believe that the issue is with the systems that are in the XL and XLT.
Hope this helps. I can do more test if needed.
