So I just talked to my local Ford dealership and he told me something odd. He told me that they add a dealer markup for maverick orders because it takes away from their allocations. I felt that this was incorrect from what I’ve read on the forums but didn’t have enough knowledge on it to contest what he was saying. This dealer has already had some other bad run ins with customers by not telling them that there was a markup until the truck arrived on the lot. The dealership is Future Ford of Clovis in CA

I reached out to my dealer today just to confirm and he said the price I signed for on my order form will be the price I pay, less any incentives currently going on at the time of delivery. They are not and will not be doing any "market adjustments." They actually show a few Mavericks enroute and have a $250 discount applied, plus no added dealer/processing fees. Mullinax Ford in Kissimmee.

Order from another dealer. CA dealers are scum, but their customers continue to play their games.

I ended up ordering from another dealer near me that doesn’t have any markup. I hope all these dealers charging a markup lose plenty of business for their shady practices. If anyone is interested the dealer I ordered from its Lithia Ford of Fresno

I get it, it is a business and this happens because of overzealous buyers. Without them, this will not happen. Glad you found a respectable dealer.

If you can get a farm bureau non stackable certificate you can qualify for the $500 Ford discount. Current certificates expire, I think 1/22/22 and may be available for next year. They are good on farm equipment most pickups less than F250 including. May take several weeks to join and have to be member for 30 days to qualify for certificate. Several types of memberships are available cost varies but generally $20-$90 in Texas. Check farm bureau.org find your state and county for office and qualifications. Certificates are available for lawn mowers, tractors, etc. And of course all kinds of insurance plus many things. Some motels, etc, etc.

Correction "F150 smaller than F250 including Maverick"

Upland Ford in SoCal has a fully loaded Lariat with a $13k markup!

MSRP is $36k and final asking price is listed at $49k.

Absolutely ridiculous...

Sitting here going through the forum this afternoon and the local Ford Dealer called me. Mind you I placed my original order there back on 10 June and haven't heard from them up until I canceled the order back on 22 July. Out of the blue they called me to tell me they had just received their first Maverick. They asked if I was interested in coming down to look at it. I said I'm not buying but I'd love to come see it. Told them I'd be there within 30 minutes.

Arrived at Jenkins Ford (formerly Nick Nichols Ford) here in Crystal River, FL.

It was a 2022 Ford Maverick XLT, 2.0 EB, XLT Lux, FX4, 4K towing, Floor Mats, Cargo Mat, there may be some minor stuff. I couldn't get a good photo of the window sticker but I think that is about it.

Wasn't able to drive it as it had just came off the transport truck. But they let me sit in it and look around it.

I was a little sad when I got in and pushed the driver seat all the way back. I am 5'10" and could use a right knee replacement. I was NOT able to straighten my driving knee out very much. It was bent pretty good. I made adjustments to the seat height and if I sunk lower I was able to gain a little more length but it was still bent pretty good. If I raised the seat I lost length and knee bent more. So I'm rethinking if I can drive this thing long distance.

I'm only saying this because as we all saw in the early reviews, everyone was over 6 Ft tall and everybody said there was plenty of room. So for those of you with BAD KNEES, you may have a hard time with this truck. Just say'n

As mentioned, I couldn't get a good photo of the window sticker but I was able to get a good shot at the Dealer Add-ons Sticker. I hope you're sitting down!!!
