I know a lot has been posted on the subject. I just had a dealer contact me with a 2.0L Lariat for just over $45k not including dealer fees. Why would anyone pay that? That defeats the whole intent of the Maverick. If someone was to accept that then why not go another 15k and get a F150 that has so much more to offer plus the F150 has zero percent financing etc. I guess I’ll be one of those that just keeps waiting for things to settle and keep driving my Powerstroke until then.

I would never pay that for a Maverick. Much as I like the Maverick, let's face it, a lot of cost cutting was done. You can even find a nicely equipped Bronco sport on a lot for a lot less than that. And the Bronco sport in my opinion has a nicer interior than the Maverick.

I can't stand the markups. They destroy the purpose of the maverick. There is a reason the maverick starts at 20k, there was a lot of cost cutting and lower end materials used, missing features, etc.
But that's exactly what I'm looking for in a vehicle.

Dealers start adding these markups and suddenly the maverick loses its value proposition

If you don’t need the Maverick and can get by with your Power Stroke I’d pass and wait until you can find one at MSRP or order a 2023 in August when the order banks open.

Do not pay mark-ups. Not now, not ever, not on the Maverick, not on any car.

I just had another dealer contact me with a hybrid lariat. I’m on a lot of dealer lists and surprised to ever get a call. I figure I’m way down the list and the others ahead of me did as I did. Hopefully they all passed. $48k without fess, taxes, etc. oh my. As I have posted earlier, who would pay that. We all need to fight back and let these dealers know we don’t need them. I bet if one of them came to my business and I charged them a 20%-30% markup they would be pissed and have a stroke.

I've said it before, dealers can ask whatever they please for stock units, fair enough (I would not personally pay over MSRP).

The real douche bags are the ones jacking with customer orders. There's a special kind of Hell waiting for these guys.

I agree, unfortunately there are people that pay well over; they just have to get a Mav!
