On because I really could care less. But the safer studies where all done when it was rare and stood out. Now its every car and no one even thinks about your lights being on.

It's safer to leave them on but after hearing the high cost of replacing them, I recently turned them off.

I would argue that DRLs are more important around town than on the highway. But I am also lazy enough that I am not willing to fiddle with menus every time the road type changes.

And I get that headlight modules are expensive - I replaced the halogen projectors in my old car with new OEM LED housings from a later generation, at my own cost. But replacing "burned-out" LED headlights in the lifespan of the Maverick should not be a serious concern.

Page 92. The first switch position after "off" will run the parking lamps, but this includes rear taillights. Note that the way the truck is originally programmed, it will return to "auto" every time you restart.

Why would you turn them off? Do people disconnect their brake lights too?

One would turn them off because that power has to come from somewhere, eventually your gas tank. Think of the heat put out by MILLIONS of running lights every day. I like that our Silverado has the option - not sure how to even do it on the mav.

Let's hope the production quality is better than some of the 12v batteries that they put in these vehicles. If one led burns out you are replacing the whole unit.

I turned them off in Forscan when I got the Lasfit switchbacks to do the DRL job. Far cheaper and look great, too.
