Longtime lurker first time poster.

i probably know the answer, but here goes. I ordered a maverick (awd,4k, lux) on 4/9/24. The dealer said it taking about 90 days from order to delivery. Some people agree that 90 days is about right, others are saying about six months. What is everybody’s opinion?

I ordered an XL Hybrid early in July of 2023 and picked it up about 2 weeks ago.

EcoBoost are readily available so if your dealer has allocations it won’t be that long. I ordered mine January 27th came in April 11th

Also you should only listen to those that respond who ordered an EcoBoost that is not an XL. All the hybrid wait times are not relevant to your wait time.

XL wait is long
Hybrid wait is long
XLT/Lariat EcoBoost will be the shortest

^^^This is the right answer. My 23 EB took nearly nine months but FMC still had supply chain issues in the latter half of 2022 into 2023, plus my dealer was a relatively low-volume, low-allocation dealer.

Reading up on the MTC forum it seems most EB orders are currently only taking 3-4 months.

Totally depends on your dealers' allocation. If they have one for you and your order does not contain some of the constrained items, 90 days might be right.

I think it is pretty typical to expect 6-8 weeks from when your order is scheduled to when dealer receives it.

My 2024 Lariat (loaded, no FX4 or Tremor packages) has already been almost 10 months. Dealer says that they have allocations and there are no constraints on parts. However, each month I see the posting about availability of parts... Every month that I have seen shows usually around 3 of my options in limited supply. Grrrr. Lariat standard rims are now in short supply along with front and rear mud flaps... Salesman suspects I will probably roll over to a 2025... And I hope so, being so late in the production schedule. August builds are being scheduled now, which gives me 2 additional months for them to schedule mine (hope not). Another local dealer (big chain) has 7 Lariats on the lot. All have the spray in bed liner (one of my options), all have the black out package (different rim) which I did not order and none have the tow package.

Ordered an EB on 01/02/2022, it was never built because the sales manager never completed the order properly. Ordered a 2023 XLT hybrid which took 10 months. Ordered a 2024 XLT hybrid which took 8 months. Since you want an AWD, which is EB, look on dealer lots. Our local had 2 AWD Mavericks on the lot a couple of weeks ago. If you order one, I see others here posting about 3-4 months or so depending on options and restrictions.

I bought mine off the lot 5/28/24. A lady had ordered it, but decided not to take it.

Having said that, there are dozens of Ford dealers in a 125 mile radius of my dealer (Reineke Ford, Tiffin, OH, and they have three other dealership within 50 miles under the Reineke family brands) My salesman said they deal with many of them trading vehicles, and the Maverick is no exception. I wanted a red pepper , and it was one of the least available. They offered me a reasonable deal on the blue one, so I said yes.

So, see if your dealer can find what you like by trading something the other dealer needs for a sale in their area. BTW, Ford urges this cooperation among dealers.

Best of luck to you,

Did they give you a build date at all from ford?

Your dealer probably has the best handle on how long it will take. 90 days sounds reasonable to me. I ordered a 2024 EB XLT in October 2023 and took delivery about 3 1/2 months later, and wait times have only gotten better since then. It sounds like you only have a few weeks left for yours to arrive. Better get busy ordering all those accessories you're wanting to add! :)
