Last month I had my '22 Hybrid in to have all the recall work, software updates, and the cable overlay done. I'm VERY satisfied with everything about it, from the time it took, to the quality of the work. BUT, (Of course there's a "but"...) I have noticed that the little car icon on the dash that I assume indicates you're going downhill (and charging, presumably) has gone away completely, and I wonder if anybody else has noticed this....and is it intentional, or a glitch?
Don't get me wrong, I don't really care about the indicator itself. If it's absence is by design, then I say good riddance. It never made any sense to me in the first place why I needed to be told I was going downhill anyway. I just wonder if it's a feature, or a bug that might indicate something else I haven't noticed might be amiss?
Since it was all pretty minor stuff, I intentionally waited to have as much as possible done in one visit. Everything went smoothly and I'm happy with the job the dealer did. They did it all from one day to the next, (including an oil change!) and all seems fine. I know the airbag recall in particular required a great deal of interior disruption, and I was worried my completely squeak, creak, buzz, and rattle-free experience might be ruined in the process....but thankfully, it's just as quiet as ever. The electric/ice transitions which were quite smooth before, are even smoother now, and the grabby brake thing has been completely resolved. It was never a major problem, and I had learned to mostly avoid it, but heck, I can't even MAKE it happen now. The truck is performing better than ever, and I'm quite the happy camper.
Just that ONE nagging question....
