I hardwired the thinkware f200 pro with the fusebox. I followed the video someone posted here to a TEE. It’s like as 45 minute video, but perfect. I have it with parking mode and works great

Got my Maverick last week, and was looking through some of the posts in regards to a dash cam with parking mode causing issues on Hybrids. I've installed dash cams before and would usually hardwire, but I don't want to have any issues with the batteries or the "deep sleep" error notifications. I bought a Thinkware F200 Pro, I noticed that the optional OBD cable on their website says its compatible with Hybrid vehicles. Is this the only way to not have issues or can I use the add-a-circuit fuse connectors at the fuse box and be fine?
i got a ONN (Walmart's electronics house brand) el cheapo dash cam that performs surprisingly well.
video quality is acceptable and it comes with front and rear cameras. i have it plugged into the dash 12v power point low on the dash. i have not yet tackled 'tucking in' the ample power cord yet .

Pro's: nice in vehicle display; great suction attach system that seems to stay put so far(few months in) ;low co$t also never hurts.

Cons: No GPS logging ; no wifi viewing of recorded stuff, this means you must view recorded video on the unit itself or remove the Micro SD card and then insert it into a laptop or desktop in order to view recorded video. it is not the most user friendly video retrieval method to say the least.
No adjustable rear view camera, you are stuck with whatever angle you get when adjusting the unit for the best front view angle.
1 more pro; unit has parked incident sensors and auto on upon startup of your truck which is nice, just plug it in and forget about it.

conclusion: a good entry level unit to dip your toe's into dashcam world ( under $40 i think) , for not that much more $$ there are some really helpful features to be had such as wifi video playback and GPS logging but this inexpensive dashcam WILL capture stuff that happens while you're out and about for sure.

Yes I have a hybrid and yes parking mode does work but I have i turned off due to the deep sleep issue ...... The adapter came with the camera I suppose due to it was a Ford branded camera,

I've seen other people say they hardwired it and they were able to use parking mode without the deep sleep issue. I guess I will have to hardwire if I want that feature.

I have a Thinkware F200 Pro. I tried the OBDII cable but it did NOT work with Maverick Hybrid. The dash camera kept switching back and forth between parking recording and continuous recording (driving mode), WHILE driving. I opened a case with Thinkware support but we were unable to fix the issue.

Ended up hardwiring it and it works great. No deep sleep issues!

Red cable (ACC power): fuse #1
Yellow cable (constant power): fuse #13

I’m not sure what you mean. If you’re asking which part of fuse should the wires touch, it doesn’t matter which contact as long as a wire does not touch both contacts at the same time. .

My understanding is the best method is to hardwire is, using the fuse box, and use an external battery to run the parking mode. That way it doesn't drain the truck's battery and recharge the external batter while you are driving.

Got the Thinkware Q200 (front & Back) and hardwired it into Fuses #3 and #20.
Seems to work the same and had to figure out which fuse had constant and which was for accessories. Used a fuse tap to connect to each.

(RED) #3 is for auto dimming interior mirror - not included in Mav
(YELLOW) #20 is not used (spare)
Black - grounded to frame

After the fact I've read that I should be using #1/2 instead..Any insight appreciated!

I just hooked up my F200 Pro today (that used to be in last vehicle). Used #3 and #20 as described above. Works perfectly. I have parking mode enabled, so we will see. I know the Q has hybrid mode in battery saver, maybe new firmware will have that for F200 pro. I have never updated it and I should try

Bought a Wolfbox G930 dashcam (front and back) which fits over rearview mirror. To hardwire this in looks reasonably simple but where does one get these fuse taps (link please) to use on a 2024 Hybrid I received a month ago?
