I'm wiring up the ever-so-popular Kia/Gentex mirror with homelink AND adding a dashcam with hardwire kit.

Any concerns running both to the same sources up in the sunglass storage area? Or seems ok?

I just installed both a dash cam and the auto dimming mirror with homelink. I actually wired it to the fuse box on the passengers side. I wired both the constant and 12V accessory wire on the mirror to an accessory fuse along with the dash cam. When I wired the constant to a constant fuse in the fuse box, the autodimming mirror stayed on even after the vehicle was turned off. With both wires and dash cam connected to an accessory fuse, everything turns on when the vehicle is on and turns off when the vehicle is off.

I wired both to the same fuse in the passenger foot well. I didn't want to kill my battery with constant power on (my truck sits for a few days from time to time) so did one of the on/off fuses. I just put both wires in the fuse tap and it has worked fine so far.

Quick question...did you use a dual fuse tap to allow both wires (dash cam and mirror) to access the fuse or did you splice / tap into the single fuse tap wire? Hope that makes sense.
