What a good Dad to just shake it off and know that Daughter got a valuable lesson.
That's definitely worth a few dings!!
Plus, she will always warmly remember that you love her more than a new truck.
Chalk it up as a WIN.

Daughters are easy to replace, Mavericks, not so easy!

Example: A new daughter 9 months, Maverick...who knows?

Yup, that is how the first beauty mark appeared lol, one month in. Thankfully it was low speed, with no injuries, and the daughter learned a valuable lesson with backing up her car.

In the end, it's only gonna be a license plate holder replacement and I will have to live with the 3/4" crease/impression in the bumper facia but now that is outta the way...bring on the rock chips LOL.
Last week I backed my husband’s charger into our trash can. Mind you it has a backup camera. Not sure how I missed the big red trash can. So glad the damage to your maverick wasn’t bad!

You should thank her. Now you have a reason to get the nicer Tremor bumper when (if?) they become available.

This may be a good option, so you're saying she did me a favor, I like it.

When my wife was 16 (mid 1970's) she backed her '64 Ford into a corvette punching a hole into it.
That wasn't in Mississippi was it? I had a StingRay door with a hole punched In it , low speed some one backing out of a parking space.

We bought our last car ('17 jetta) and drove it to California for vacation a week later. We stayed the first night at my aunt's home. In the morning, while backing her Mercedes S550 out of the driveway, she "bumped" our car. In reality almost our entire driver's side was DESTROYED. Our car had ~600 miles on it. Then we found out my (very wealthy) aunt, driving a $100k+ car, did not have car insurance. Our car was drivable, and yes, we drove it the rest of the week, getting into it from the passenger side. When we got back home we took it to a local body shop, which my aunt paid for in cash. We're pretty close to my aunt and decided the relationship was worth more than a car - she probably should have bought us a new one. That was a fun experience.

My wife's friend drove her car into a rented bungalow at the Jersey shore. Put a hole in the home. A few years later she was at a no tell motel with her bf. A car drove into their room the bf had to climb over the car to get out. The motel manager asked if they wanted another room. Kind of ruined the moment.

Yeah, that is how I felt yesterday, today I wish she was still pristine hahaha. But all good. Putting a bed cover on this weekend so I'll be distracted. :)
My wife refused to drive our previous truck until it got its first "ding." (Some lumber blew into the side and put a tiny crease right behind the rear tire.)

Yesterday, she said she wants to test drive "her Maverick." I sense a "takeover" coming...

"But, honey, it doesn't have a scratch or dent yet!" did not work... We're going driving later today.

Pictures please! We need to see how cringeworthy this oopsie was. ;)

If it makes you feel any better, when my daughter was in high school, she backed into the driveway with her car too quickly and hit the rear deck. Shook the whole house. Good times!
Mine managed to hit a gigantic yellow School Bus - in the school parking lot, no less. "But Dad, it just appeared out of nowhere!" Fortunately, it was a very low-speed impact, and she only hit the bus' tire – but it was the rear tire. (o_O ) Her mom put a pair of BandAids on the bumper to cover the scratch, and made her keep them for about a year...
