First of I want to give full credit to @psuarmy as I completely copied their idea and modeled everything by what they did. Can check out the original post here. https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/f...ble-bed-divider-diy-updated-with-specs.70280/

Here is my build from his idea. I went a little farther and added some flare to the color and made additional boards to match so I can just grab and go when I need to.

Again thank you @psuarmy for the inspiration and idea. Really had a fun time making it and will be of great use.

Looks good but if I planned on hauling on top of the cross boards I wouldn't paint them. Slide drywall, pegboard, plywood across it and end up with black on the sheet goods.
Maybe a varnish might help? Decals? If nothing else put a tarp between.

I used spray paint so hoping no too many marks on plywood (what I would normally haul with them) And that just makes sure I sand them out.

Looks great, sadly it looks like it takes a bit of skill and talent to build one. That just might prevent me from building one:sadface:

No skill at all. Pick your boards and make some cuts, then make some dado cuts.
Now I do have a set of dado blades so it was quick work. If you have a table saw with only a single blade you can still do it, just takes a lot more passes. If all you have is a miter saw, you can still make dados just need to setup the stop on the miter saw.
Worst part about making it was the damn heat we have.

Glad to give the inspiration. Looks nice. I like the red accents.

You can also achieve similar results by starting with a base 1x material and then cutting and attaching 1x "stiles." Probably won't look nearly as nice, but it will require fewer tools and "skill."
