I fell in behind a motorcyclist this week.
Now stay with me people’s, I’ve been behind all kinds of motor cycles. And what happened has never happened behind any Harley’s, sport bikes etc.
This bike was a little 250 trail bike with a skinny rider. His back pack , the bike, his helmet and clothes were all green.
Olive drab actually.
The overall profile of this bike and rider was a shape just like a pedestrian, his tail light was Not illuminated at all.
He slowed and I eased into the zone where automatic braking and an alarm sounds. Never a problem it just quickly, smoothly backs me off.
My question to you internet wizards is why did the system go to full braking at the antilock threshold?
I mean my Maverick tried to do a hand stand,
I shit you not !
My question, did it, the A. I. think that biker was a pedestrian right in front of me ?
The guy behind me didn’t hit me partially because the first thing I did was foot on the brakes to light up my brake lights.
60 down to 35 mph at the antilock threshold was wild. I bet less than one percent of the Maverick drivers out there take a moment to practice this level of braking. I did and glad of it.
IMHO upgrading the Mavrick with Brembros or some other more power brake is an absolute mistake.
I know all my mini trucks limits but still I’ll likely never turn that feature on again.
Penny for your thoughts ?
I immediately turned the system OFF.
Whu~Tu~Fufu~FaFa factor happened ???
