Cracked windshield

Well was sitting at the bank and heard a loud crack....my FE lariat windshield just cracked for no reason cracked . Was near my dealer , thought I was gonna get a fight . Nope under warranty issue they said. Now will be the availability. A tech Manger and myself check the whole window with flashlight and paper behind the window to see if any rocks or something caused it but found nothing . Glad this will be under warranty just sucks though . Minor thing I will just have to have the new one get the sunscreen tint re done.

Sorry to hear this happened. It sux to have something like that happen so early with a new ride.

Since you got a First Edition that has the acoustic windshield, right? If there's any additional info from Ford/dealership on why it happened please keep us updated.

No I just stopped in today , they said should be no issues and should hear something tomorrow. So will see if they have any feed back as to why.

Well to be fair , I didn't even purchase my truck from them bought it out of state just choose them to be my local dealer. So far they seem good

Just make sure they put an acoustic windshield replacement on it and not a normal one.

My wife has been waiting for an acoustic windshield replacement for her Kia minivan since August. Fortunately it is drivable.

Update dealer called Ford want more pics and video of the shield ....they took so many pics yesterday ugh. I'm sure they are trying to get out of this.

Well I got the green light from ford they will replace the windshield just waiting for the availability to see what that is
