For those who are Costco members & buy gas there, what are you finding as the average savings per gallon compared to your local stations? (interested in all grades of gas)

They just opened a new Costco close to me, and I'm considering a membership just to access their gas pumps, as I've heard they are consistently cheaper than regular gas stations. Just wondering if others have found this beneficial?
It's the only place we buy gas. It's usually 30 cents to a dollar cheaper there than anyone else plus they use top tier gasoline which is independently tested for quality.
I don't know if it's true but someone told me Costco has their own refinery now as well.

We shop at Costco as well I find Kirkland brand products to be as good as anything anywhere for a fraction of the price.

The issue with Costco gas is that the gas comes out with such velocity that it foames or vaporises.

The trick to pumping gas at Costco is to use the slower auto fill notch. less velocity less vapor.

Then you will take advantage of the extra 10-15 cents cheaper price

Emmmm, Costco chicken. *drool*

How can something so cheap be so good?
Costco has never raised price on $1.50 big hotdog and drink or rotisserie chicken $4.99 since 2009? If they don't sell in 2 hours they are used to prepare other food items in the store.

Rotisserie Chicken Sales Aren’t Slowing Down
Costco sells millions of rotisserie chickens to its customers year after year. Costco execs confirmed during the company’s 2023 annual shareholders meeting2 that it sold a whopping 137 million rotisserie chickens in 2023, about 20 million more than the prior year. No matter how you slice it, that’s a lot of chickens.
Costco also has big slaughter plant in Fremont, Nebraska. I read a couple years ago that the chickens are delivered into a refrigerated room and when they get cold their metabolism slows way down and they are relaxed when robot slaughtered and muscles don't contract, keeping the meat tender. Some outfit in Europe furnished the equipment. They are fast growing broilers.

Costco should have plenty of chickens with the ongoing avian flu requirement to slaughter millions of same. /s

Three refuels of the RV and the savings equal the annual membership fee. The only issue, I have to check the pump area for accessibility when in the RV. In some lots, there are only 1 or 2 lanes I can use and exit without issue.

The Costco warranty is also a great membership benefit. Years ago I purchased a Panasonic VHS/DVD/DVD recorder. After 4 years it would not play DVDs. I asked the service deck about my options, and they told me to bring it in. They scanned my membership card, looked up my file on the computer, saw I purchased the player 4 years ago for $365.00. The lady opened up the cash drawer and counted out $365. I asked her "what is this for" and she asked "are you happy with your purchase?" I asked "could I get it repaired or replaced", and was told "no". I took my refund and thanked her. I suggest you know the refund policy, many items are 90 day only because members would return computers or TVs because a newer model would come out.

Over the years I have purchased 3 cars from Costco Auto (Mavericks were not offered), took an Alaskan cruse and my Executive Membership ($130) rebate check last month was for $112. What a deal.

I made the mistake of stopping at a Sam's Club gas station near DFW this past week, they have single-pump islands, rather than the 2 or 3 that Costco's I've been to have.

If one bird test positive the entire flock is killed and composted and bird raising is halted for a period of time and cleaning.

costco near me is always 10-35 cents cheaper than everywhere else and it's only an extra 2 minutes past 3 gas stations. plus you get 5% back if you use their credit card (drops to 4% after $7k in fuel or something). if i'm out of town i look for a close costco first. if i can't find one i'll still use their credit card as you still get 4% back at other gas stations (on fuel purchases only).

Having been in the Army and going 6.5 months without even seeing a girl reminds me of the absurdity of the statement "I wouldn't look at her if she was the last one alive". It also explains the following I read =
The researchers say this is evidence of "strong gene flow” between Neanderthals and early modern humans – they were interbreeding rather a lot. So often, in fact, that as Neanderthal numbers dwindled towards the end of their existence, their Y chromosomes may have gone extinct, and been replaced entirely with our own. This suggests that a substantial number of ancestral human men were having sex with female Neanderthals.

Before joining Costco for fuel pride3s, check out the lines on the days/times you're likely to show up.

Most of the ones around here, aside from being too far out of my way, have several cars lined up in each line when I pass. If I want to wait that long, I'll buy an electric!
🤪

there was a business Costco, though, in a commercial area that I regularly passed through, that had reasonable lines a few years back.
