They use nitrogen in aircraft tires because there is no moisture in nitrogen unlike regular compressed air. Because of high altitudes the moisture would freeze and you can’t land with ice inside your tires.
its aircraft related item so someone came up with the idea to sell it at high cost for cars n such when it’s not Needed nor is it beneficial at low altitudes. Save your money.

Nitrogen is used in aircraft tires ( FAA directive for commercial planes I think ) because it has no oxygen. The nitrogen coming out lessens the chance of fire from ignition source ( brakes or hub above ignition temperatures as the tire blows out). Still happens on occasion, but lessens the effect.
Compressed Nitrogen is highly filtered and pretty much free of other gasses and moisture. While many think adding pure Nitrogen lowers pressure loss over time....that is proven to not be a significant factor.

And I'm guessing around 18 percent oxgen...
Like the atmosphere? Lol
Yep, and by the time that pesky oxygen leaks out ( that is what the Nitrogen Believers tell you happens quickly ) and I refill the tires a few times...I am hoping to be well over 90% Nitrogen. Then I can get all the amazing fuel mileage, tire life, lack of needed to check pressure for years at a time that Nitrogen Believers tell you to expect......
