Has nothing to do with the cameras themselves. If people would bother to read the recall notice, it's from a memory leak in the software. It's just poorly coded software.Makes you wonder if is due to some chip sets that are not fast enough or flawed in some way but Ford wants to fix it with software?
It takes time to find these kinds of errors, there are likely thousands of lines of code related to the operation of the camera. The software engineers have to go over each line of code just to find the source of the problem. That might sound simple, but it could be due to a simple typo in a small portion of one line of code, or several in multiple lines for that matter.
It's like trying to find spelling and grammar errors in a long forum essay, not a quick or simple thing to do.
