Pretty happy with the off-line acceleration on a hybrid when it’s in sport mode. It’s a lot quicker than I thought. Loving the Lariat
Completely agree. It's surprisingly quick. I don't use it too often as I'm more keen on seeing that 40+mpg on the screen when I shut her off.

My 24 XLT/FX4 is very quiet. No rattles from anywhere. Much quieter than my 2016 RAV4.
I drove a Mercedes rental while my 22 Lariat was being serviced (recall) and I couldn't wait to get back into my much quieter Maverick.

Biggest issues I’ve got with my 22 Lariat AWD Is dash rattles and windshield. As long as I’m on a smooth road no rattles, city streets and it’s rattle city. The windshield is horrible, I think it’s made of cheap glass that pecks really easy. It has sparkly tiny chips all over and is impossible to get clean.
I haven't had the windshield chips you mentioned and so far, that part of the truck for me, has been no better or worse than any other vehicle I've owned.

But the rattles - jeez louise, the dash rattle and front passenger door rattle drive me crazy on the rough pavement over on this side of the state. I'm actually taking the truck in to a dealer in F'vlle soon to see if they can address the rattles. They will also do the software update for the turn signal recall.
Other than the above, I've had no problems with my Hybrid - not even any battery issues. I do put the truck on a battery tender if I won't be driving it for a several days, just as a preventive measure. I also reset the BMS after disconnecting the charger.

It seems Ford is not the only car maker with rattle issues. My brother's new Avalon and a friend's new VW Taos both have annoying rattles. And they cost much more than my XL Maverick.

I may have found my dash rattle, it actually maybe my garage door opener clipped to sun visor. The rattle comes and goes so it’s been hard to pin down. My son is looking for a teaching job around Fayetteville, so I may be in your neck of the woods soon.

On the nosey... Drive an 2.0 EcoBoost Mav after a Hybrid and you'll feel the difference
It depends on your driving habits actually. Shortly after I got my Maverick, I had to take it in for a transit related paint repair, and drove a Ford Edge loaner for a week. Same engine and transmission as the Eco boost Maverick. I like to take things nice and easy behind the wheel, and when driven that way, the Edge felt oddly sluggish to me, and I didn't care for it at all. I wondered where all the power it's supposed to have was, until I punched it out of curiosity and thought "Ahh...there it is!"
By comparison, the hybrid feels very lively and responsive at light pedal application, and fits my driving style perfectly. And when power is needed, it happens instantly at any speed, and there is more than enough to get the job done. In fact, I've only floored the thing twice in the two years I've owned the truck. Once off the line, just to see how it performed, and another time during a passing situation, for the same reason. (Way faster than necessary...the guy probably thought I was being an a-hole.😉)
Bottom line is, if you like to stand on it and feel the rush from one light to the next, get the Eco Boost. If you like instant torque and amazing efficiency, get the hybrid. Choose the version that suits your style and needs, and whichever one that is, you will be satisfied. They are both fantastic little trucks!

I had a crazy annoying rattle that just showed up out of nowhere. Took a while for me to figure out it was a cheap USB drive I had plugged in with music that had a loose casing. I shimmed it up and good to go.

Self inflicted wound.

I had a similar rattle in rear of my truck wasn’t constant discovered I could make it happened every time I went across a speed bump with both tires. One tire over speed bump no rattle. That helped me finally find the culprit. I was able to find it fairly quickly, it was metal hitch receiver cover I had on the mav.

I hope you found your rattle. I don't think mine will be that easily fixed. I know it's not the garage door opener though because I removed the clip on the back of it and it's wedged in the infotainment screen cubby with a piece of foam rubber.
If you come over to NWA, be prepared for some pothole roads, due to the snow and usually cold temps we had recently.

Might want to check that garage door opener, I think mine rattle is actually the internals of the opener and not the clip. A few more weeks around here and I’m going to have my PHd in pothole dodging. One section on I555 was so bad the highway dept closed the lane off to repave it.

Do you have the 4 cylinder one? Those Heritage Bronco Sports look cool. You seem to get a lot in a vehicle that's only 172.7 inches long. I almost got one, but they are so darn expensive (if you want the 4 cylinder).
