I disagree, but IMO this also shows that CR is not biased.ALL Chevy's Sucks - They have been on the bottom of every review list since I have been alive. It's amazing how many "Suckers" Chevy has duped into a crappy vehicle with just a commercial.
Yes, although they weight the reliability based on whether something makes the vehicle undrivable more heavily. So while all dealership trips can be annoying, the infotainment system having to be flashed or replaced isn't the same as having the vehicle stop on the side of the road because an AWD system freaked out. In their detailed analysis they'll list which components and whether any reported failures are major or minor.Doesn't this include things like the infotainment system?
Do we have a link to the detailed ratings? I'd imagine the infotainment lowers the score. Also, do they differentiate between the 2.0 & 2.5?I disagree, but IMO this also shows that CR is not biased.
The other person was confused by looking at the high reliability rating posted for the 2500HD, thinking that they had just condemned it earlier, but that was the 1500. The two vehicles may both be Chevys, but they aren't made at the same plant (2500HD is a Flint plant, the 1500 made in Mexico) and don't share the same powertrain or most other major parts. They are both called Silverados, but aren't really anymore alike than a Ford Maverick and a Ford F150.
To me that shows that they are investigating specifics, and not just hating on a particular brand.
In any case, I find it interesting that the Mav forum is taking the 3/5 rating so hard, when its a huge sigh of relief when they rated the Escape that the Maverick is based on and shares a few parts with a 1/5 back in 2020 and a 3/5 is higher than 16 out of 29 trucks rated, putting it in the upper half with only two trucks remotely in its class doing better, the Ridgeline and Ranger.

They don't exist yet, not for what is merely a prediction. Detailed ratings are available in April of the year following its release if I recall correctly, so that would be April 2023 issue.Do we have a link to the detailed ratings? It's good to know that some things at least don't changeThe Ram 1500 Classic has been in production since 2009, with a refresh in 2013, and it received a 1/5 predicted reliability score! Ouch!

He also said that he made the best built cars in America. I had one. He didn't.Lee Iacocca said it best, "Anybody that rates shower heads on one page and transmissions on the next can't be trusted." Only 8700 miles on my Hybrid XLT Mav, but not a single problem. Unreal value for the price! I LOVE my Maverick!!
