CR's observed MPG is much closer to my own experience than most of the other reviews I've seen.
I have to drive v-e-r-y conservatively to get close to 20 MPG in all-city driving in my AWD EB. Conversely, my highway MPG has been in the low 30s without much effort. I know that mileage suffers at highway speeds over about 70. I rarely drive over 65-70.
I get 40-50 mpg buzzing around NY metro region

Note that you should avoid lugging the 2.0 to minimize carbon accumulation which leads to potential dieseling and other problems. This is one case where spirited driving, within reason, trumps sauntering along.
I don't hypermile the truck and regularly am driving between 65 and 75. I'm saying in order to get that low I would need to floor it on EVERY take off and do 90 everywhere. If I go out and snap a photo right now my truck will say over 30 and over 500 miles for the tank total [ add what u have driven and what's left) and that is a mix of city and highway probably 30/70 respectively

Sounds about right. For highway driving, the 2.0 comes within a couple of mpg of the Hybrid. I got 31 mpg on a recent 150 mile trip in normal mode. Haven't tried Eco mode yet.
When I went through the Ozark mountains, I now wish I would of used Sport mode instead of normal to relieve some strain climbing. Also wish I had paddle shifters climbing those hills.

Unfortunately I don't have any of that since I have the fx4 4k EB I don't have eco or sport unless I use forscan to reprogram the computer

That surprises me. I don't have the 4X but do have AWD 4K tow.

Yeah, the FX4 gets Mud and ruts, Slippery, Tow Haul, Sand, and Normal modes. No Eco or Sport which kind of stinks. The Sport mode in my wifes Ecosport makes that car pretty fun to drive. Also disables the auto start/stop.

When you get a FX4 they take out sport and eco to put in the "off-road" modes
