Lane keeping is a different system, and it's just a nudge. If it could make any difference, (I don't know why it should) I had turned the lane keeping feature off when I got the truck.
Since you are concerned about the vehicle inappropriately activating the brakes, just turn that "feature" off.
For me, I'd rather depend on myself not running into something than relying on a system to never have a glitch that could cause an accident. Compared to riding my motorcycle, the Mav is a lot safer, even without the ability to slam on the brakes because a grocery bag blew across the road.
If you go to the dealer, it's 99.99% certain they will tell you "no trouble found".
It is virtually impossible to tell you why a glitch happened.
