Cross traffic alarm

Backing into my carport yesterday and my cross traffic alarm beeped. Never did it before. One car was parked beside mine. Nothing but the enclosed back, and woods around. A bit of a shock, not expecting it.
Anyone else experience this?

I've had it randomly happen before if it senses something else in close proximity, of even just people walking by (such as in a busy parking lot).
