Yes. I experience this too.Alright I realize no one really uses neutral, I found this out by accident. Thought I had the shifter in drive but had put it into neutral. Gas engine was running and the engine was cold. It started bucking and puttering like it was going to stall out. Once in drive it was fine. I know a lot of maverick owners like to write off issues as “just hybrid stuff” but this is not normal. Has anyone else noticed this? Also if you live in a cold climate on your next cold start slip it into neutral and see if yours does it too. I mentioned it to my dealer and they just brushed it off and with all the other issues it has I just brushed it off also.
Interesting. I've noticed in my 2025 that I leave the driveway in electric only and when the engine starts around 17mph it gets progressively louder for about 15-20 seconds while it warms up. This is the only time the engine doesn't feel refined, once that occurs it settles in and quiets down to barely noticeable. When I start a cold Maverick and put it in neutral or drive, I hear horrible noises and twitching. It looks scary, like I bought an old car with problems.
