Since there are many version of the same tune for these, I'll need you to pull your current map off your AP and send it to me. This just saves the hassle of going through and matching/guessing. All I will do is turn ASS off and send it back.
Makes sense. I'll pull it and send to you.

Oh, it reverts too? I’ve had it drop out twice in the five or six weeks I’ve had mine. Both times I reconnected the cobb and reestablish the setting pretty quickly. I bought a cable for forscan, but haven’t learned how to use it yet.
Well, in my case, yes it has reverted back to defeating ASS both times within a couple days.

you should have Jason put his latest tcm tune together for you while you're at it.

cobb's off the shelf 'sport tcm' is much better than stock but it can still be refined, especially the low speed torque converter locking.

@yamahaSHO is the fastest tuner on the internet! He modified my OTS program I sent him yesterday in 5 minutes.

I installed Jason's AS/S off map yesterday evening, with the first combination being the map installed + the ECU AS/S flag set to 1 - Enable. With this combination, the vehicle went immediately back to start/stop after warm up. So the map will not override the ECU flag.

I then set the ECU AS/S flag to 0 - Off. It will probably take 2-4 weeks to see an event, so I'll report back later.

To be fair, I only had to change a single value. Full tunes aren't generally THAT quick. :)

It is interesting that it didn't default to AS/S off as that's literally what the value I changed states that it does. But that is why I offered to have someone try it out. :)

@yamahaSHO Jason and those interested in the effectiveness of setting the Auto Start/Stop to Off within the map/tune program rather than the one-time setting on the Accessport, to solve the problem of setting not sticking:

It's been a month since I installed the map/tune where the AS/S is toggled to Off. After a month, it has not yet reverted back to On as it used to do over a period of time. Successful so far. I'll report back in another month.

Two months have now elapsed since I installed the tune where the AS/S is toggled off within the map. It still has not reverted back to On. I originally bought the Accessport on 10-15-24, became frustrated with this issue, and installed Jason's map on 12-18-24. In those first two months of ownership the AS/S toggled itself back on twice. Now, after two months testing this approach of setting it within the map, it has already exceeded the length of time in which the problem was normally occurring.

I could not say why this approach seems to be superior. Maybe it's because the computer is reading the map at every startup and resetting the Off flag every time.

I will report again in another month.

Since I have not used Livernois' device just yet (I've used other devices for other vehicles) I am always concerned about bricking the pcm. Always. When you go through the process and get to the end where it says key off for three seconds, what next? Turn the key off and unhook the cable?

Yes count a slow three. Turn off and unhook. It’s very hard to brick an ecu with Livernois. You would almost have to lose power during the tune itself. I’ve seen them unhooked while flashing and you can reload the tune after hooked up. But if you lose complete power it would brick.

Also I’ve been flashed with them in the tune itself to turn off the as/s and mine has never reverted back

I think I'll pull the trigger on having him do the same adjustment to my access port as well as the other tweaks he does. My stop/start has changed 4 times now and I'm over it. I appreciate your update!

regardless of what fuel (even 87) you guys are using, I am sure you'll be extremely happy with what Jason @yamahaSHO has dialed in for the transmission tune.

Anything is better than what it's doing stock. I thought my Jetta was bad until I first drove this.

Have you driven a Ranger? I didn't know lugging could feel like that...
